Terms of Service
How this website may be used, and the terms that apply to payments and submissions made through it.
Effective August 18, 2026. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website at aamcollections.com and any page, form or feature offered on it (the “Site”), operated by Atchison Account Management, LLC, doing business as AAM Collections (“AAM”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Who we are
AAM Collections is a d/b/a of Atchison Account Management, LLC, a debt collection agency located at 308 Commercial Street, Atchison, Kansas 66002. We may be reached at 913-367-4069 or info@atchisonam.com.
AAM is a debt collector. Any communication with us may be an attempt to collect a debt, and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. Nothing on the Site waives, limits or modifies any right you have under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act or under applicable state law.
The Site is information only — it is not legal advice
We represent creditors. We are not your attorney and we cannot give you legal advice. The content on this Site, including the Frequently Asked Questions, is general information published for convenience. It is not legal advice, it may not apply to your situation, and you should not rely on it as a substitute for advice from an attorney of your own choosing.
If you are unsure of your rights or obligations regarding an account, you should consult an attorney.
Submitting information through the Site
The Site provides forms for disputing a debt, requesting information about an account, asking us not to contact you, contacting us generally, and applying for employment. When you submit a form, the submission is recorded and routed to our staff.
You agree that information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to provide it. Do not submit information about another person unless you are legally entitled to do so.
Submitting a form does not by itself stop, pause or resolve any account, court date or scheduled activity, and it does not create any relationship between us beyond the handling of your account. We aim to respond promptly, but the Site does not guarantee a response within any particular time. If a matter is urgent — in particular if you have a court date — call our office at 913-367-4069 rather than relying on a web form.
We are not responsible for submissions that are not received by us because of a failure of the internet, your device, your network, or a service outside our control.
Online payments
Payments made through the Site are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card or bank account numbers through the Site. Your use of the payment provider’s pages is also subject to that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
Card and debit payments made in person, by telephone or electronically are subject to a convenience fee of $4.00 per transaction. ACH payments made through the Site are not subject to a convenience fee. Fees are disclosed before you complete a payment.
You represent that you are authorised to use the payment method you submit. Payments are applied to the account you identify; please provide the account (file) number shown on our correspondence so the payment is applied correctly. If a payment is applied in error, contact us and we will work with you to correct it. A payment does not settle an account in full unless we have agreed to that in writing.
If a legal case has been filed, contact our office before submitting payment so that you send sufficient funds to resolve the case as you intend.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Site for any unlawful purpose; submit false, misleading or fraudulent information; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, our systems or any account; interfere with or disrupt the Site; introduce malicious code; scrape, harvest or collect information about other people from the Site; or use automated means to submit forms.
We may suspend or refuse access to the Site, in whole or in part, to anyone who violates these Terms or applicable law.
Intellectual property
The Site and its content — including text, layout, graphics, logos and the AAM Collections and Atchison Account Management names and marks — are owned by AAM or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use in connection with your dealings with us. Any other copying, distribution, modification, framing or commercial use requires our prior written permission.
Links to other sites
The Site may link to websites we do not control, including our payment provider, our accreditation bodies and our client portal. We provide those links for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of any site we do not operate, and a link is not an endorsement.
Privacy
Information submitted through the Site is handled in accordance with our privacy practices. California residents should also review our California Privacy Policy.
Please do not send sensitive personal information — such as a Social Security number or full financial account number — through a web form or by unencrypted email. Contact our office directly if such information is needed.
Electronic communications
When you use the Site or send us a form or email, you are communicating with us electronically, and you consent to receive communications from us electronically in connection with that submission. Agreements, notices and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing, to the extent permitted by law.
If you have asked us not to contact you at a particular address or number, that request is recorded and handled as required by applicable law.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, and we may update these Terms. Changes take effect when the updated Terms are posted, and the effective date above will be revised. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
We do not guarantee that the Site will be available without interruption or error, or that defects will be corrected.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site is free of viruses or other harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AAM and its members, officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Site — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act or applicable state collection law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AAM and its members, officers, employees and agents from any claim, demand, loss or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of another person.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in or serving Atchison County, Kansas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
This venue provision applies to disputes about the Site. It does not change the venue of any collection action, which is governed by applicable law and by the agreements underlying the account.
Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and AAM regarding the Site, and they do not alter any separate written agreement you may have with us.
Accessibility
We want the Site to be usable by everyone. If you encounter a barrier to using any part of the Site, please contact us at 913-367-4069 or info@atchisonam.com and we will work with you to provide the information or service you need in another way.
